When I first looked at this I immediately thought I wasn’t going to like it purely based on the the color of the beans but I was completely wrong. It had a really unique flavor that had me perplexed. I thought there was a hint of cinnamon or clove or something along that profile. Other than that it was solid top to bottom. The waitress said it was “North Dakota” spicy so she mentioned the Tabasco on the table if I needed it. Great flavor, ratio of meat, veg, beans. It didn’t come with any extras which was just fine. Just have to say it was a really great tasting chili. If they didn’t have great breakfast food I would have got a bowl!

Great old school place to eat. The chili was on the “specials” menu so maybe not a regular deal. After a 10 minute wait to let this cauldron cool off I broke through the baked cheesy goodness. First bites were good. Pretty heavy chili/meat flavor and some hunks of brisket. It had a nice chili flavor with some sweetness. A little heat but not too much… nice size for the price. Overall this was pretty solid. I did add a little sour cream to cool it off but didn’t need it for flavor. Definitely would get again!

First off this was a buffet, and a poorly put together one at that. One line with 50 people….
The chili was pretty heavy on the vegetable taste where I barely had any real chili seasoning and some type of meat. Other than that it was just kind of bland. There wasn’t much in the line of heat and any other spices. Would I get again…? Nope, have to pass.
